What to do now - October

  • Sow broad beans and peas to give them a head start before the spring
  • You can continue to plant garlic till mid November
  • Pick any green tomatoes and ripen inside

  • Lift your maincrop potatoes and keep dry if you plan to store them over winter
  • If you didnt get a chance to turn your compost in september you can still do it during the autumn.

  • Now is a good chance to clean out the greenhouse and disinfect it ready for use again in spring
​
