What to do now - October

Sow broad beans and peas to give them a head start before the spring

You can continue to plant garlic till mid November

Pick any green tomatoes and ripen inside

Lift your maincrop potatoes and keep dry if you plan to store them over winter

If you didnt get a chance to turn your compost in september you can still do it during the autumn.
-
Now is a good chance to clean out the greenhouse and disinfect it ready for use again in spring
