What to do now - November

  • Continue to sow seeds but be sure to protect them from the cold and bad weather

  • You can continue to plant garlic till mid November
​
  • After the apple harvest prune both apple and pear trees
​
  • Bring in delicate plants at night
​
  • Get a bulk load of manure if you have the space and leave to rot over winter ready for use in spring
​
  • Its still a good time to clean out the greenhouse and disinfect it ready for use again in spring
​
  • Prune gooseberries. If birds are a problem leave until march as they will steal all the buds
​
  • Our trading store usually closes for winter in mid-late November, make sure you have all the supplies you need to see you through the winter
