What to do now - November

Continue to sow seeds but be sure to protect them from the cold and bad weather

You can continue to plant garlic till mid November

After the apple harvest prune both apple and pear trees

Bring in delicate plants at night

Get a bulk load of manure if you have the space and leave to rot over winter ready for use in spring

Its still a good time to clean out the greenhouse and disinfect it ready for use again in spring

Prune gooseberries. If birds are a problem leave until march as they will steal all the buds
-
Our trading store usually closes for winter in mid-late November, make sure you have all the supplies you need to see you through the winter
